Botswana Examinations Council (BEC)

BEC has partnered with Orange Money to offer private candidates/students, who will be writing supplementary exams the ease and convenience of paying for their supplementary exams electronically through Orange Money.


This service will provide convenience for individuals as follows:

• BEC clients will no longer have to travel long distances to physically make payments for services.
• Collection of payments through Orange Money will reduce foot traffic at BEC offices and their staff will now concentrate on their core duties.
• BEC will enjoy added security as they will no longer hold large sums of cash on their premises received from customers paying in cash.

Payment: Examination Fee’s.

Charge: P4.00 per transaction.

Needed: Registration number that is provided by Botswana Examination Council after customer registers online (BEC website).

Steps to follow:

1. Dial *145#
2. Choose Option 2 for Orange Money Transactions
3. Enter secret code
4. Choose Option 4 (Bill Payments)
5. Select Option 2 for BEC
6. Enter First Name
7. Enter Surname
8. Enter Application Number (provided by BEC)
9. Choose the number of subjects being registered for
10. Confirm transaction with secret code.
