How is the Orange Wireless different from the Konnecta?
The existing Konnecta offers are via the mobile (3G or 4G) network and use a plug and play router which doesn’t require any technical installation. Whereas Orange Wireless is fixed and uses Point to Multi Point radio technology. With Orange Wireless there will be an antenna/CPE radio installed at the customer’s premises which will receive signal broadcast from the base station to establish communication. This technology is faster than the mobile 3G/4G.
I’m currently using the Postpaid Konnecta, can I upgrade to Orange Wireless? Would I need to purchase a new device?
Yes, you can upgrade. You will need to pay upfront fees for installation of the antenna and wireless CPE – customer premises equipment, in this case a router which is different from the existing (Konnecta) modem.
Is this offer for business or individual?
It is a B2C offer for residential. We’ve included SoHo because they are some customers who run their small business from home.
Do I need an installation?
Yes, Orange router + an antenna on your roof.
