Mobile Roaming by Orange Botswana lets both prepaid and postpaid customers use their mobile services—calls, SMS, and data—while travelling across over 80 countries worldwide. Roaming rates vary by destination zone, and activation must be done from Botswana (1411# for prepaid, call 123 for postpaid). Deactivation can also be done upon return (1412#). You’ll get a confirmation SMS, and roaming charges are billed at set rates per zone, without needing to change your number.

How It Works

Activate Roaming (Before Departure)

— Prepaid: Dial *141*1#
— Postpaid: Call 123 from your Orange line
Please note that activations can only be done whilst in Botswana and deactivations should be done upon return.

Wait for Confirmation

You’ll receive an SMS confirming roaming activation.

Use Abroad

Calls, SMS, and data will work abroad at the applicable zone rates.

Deactivate Upon Return

Use *141*2# after returning to Botswana to avoid charges.

Monitor Usage

Check balance and roaming usage with *141*2#, or via receipts.

Recharging is easy, whether you do it before you leave or while you are away.
Buy a scratch card of any denomination of your choice, gently scratch away the silver part of the card to reveal the airtime code, simply
dial *155* followed by your 14 digit recharge code then # and press OK.
