Clients pay for goods and services directly from their phones – replacing the need for card and cash.

The process/requirements to be followed;

  • Merchants complete the registration form
  • Submit their certified copy of ID

Existing Orange Money agents can purchase float directly from their DuelaEasy wallet, making it convenient to maintain their operational needs

Customer USSD

OM subscribers can make payments directly at DuelaEasy agents by following the steps below

  1. Dial *145#
  2. Select Option 5 “DuelaEasy”
  3. Select Option 1 “Pay-A-Merchant”
  4. Enter Merchant Code
  5. Enter Amount
  6. Confirm with secret code

If funds are deducted from the customer but not credited to the merchant, the merchant should check their transaction history. If the issue persists, they should contact Orange Money support for backend verification. If necessary, a manual reimbursement will be processed.

Yes, transaction and withdrawal limits apply. These limits are set based on regulatory requirements and merchant category.

Yes, DuelaEasy supports USSD payments, which do not require internet access. QR Code payments, however, may require a customer to have a smartphone with data access.

Currently, merchants must request Orange Money to manually process reversals. An automated refund system is being developed.

If a merchant suspects a fraudulent transaction, they should take the following steps:

  1. Verify the Transaction – Check the transaction details on the DuelaEasy merchant portal to confirm its validity.
  2. Do Not Process the Service Immediately – If anything appears suspicious, hold off on providing the goods or services until confirmation.
  3. Follow Security Best Practices – Avoid processing transactions based on screenshots alone and always confirm payments through official channels

Requirements for hawkers and street vendors

  1. Merchant Registration Form
  2. Certified copy of Omang

 

To complete registration, please provide the following documents:

  1. Copy of Certificate of Incorporation
  2. Copy of Constitution (if applicable, as per company extract)
  3. Certified copies of valid ID/Passport (for non-citizens) or Refugee Cards of all Directors and Shareholders
  4. Resolution specifying the account opening request, authorized persons to act on behalf of the company, their addresses, and designated signatories
  5. If the company is a foreign registered entity, include shareholders’ proof of residential address
  6. Certified copies of valid ID/Passport (for non-citizens) or Refugee Cards of persons authorized to act on behalf of the company
  7. Residential address of persons authorized to act on behalf of the company
  8. Tax Registration and VAT Registration certificates
  9. Signed and completed Ethics and Compliance Questionnaire
  10. Official bank account details (including bank name, branch, and account number)
