Accounting Officer- Revenue, Receivables and Inventory
The Revenue, Receivables and Inventory Supervisor is responsible for the accurate recognition, accounting, reconciliation, and reporting of revenues, receivables, and inventories in line with IFRS (particularly IFRS 15 and IFRS 9) and internal control requirements.
The main duties include but are not limited to:
- Ensure that all Orange accounts are properly kept at all times with relevant
- documentation properly filed.
- Observing and Implementing of the internal controls of the company to ensure the safeguarding of the assets of Orange.
- Review of the work done by the Accounts officer Revenue, Receivable and Inventory.
- Lead the monthly preparation of management accounts in collaboration with the Accounting Reporting Supervisor.
- Perform month-end close activities relating to revenue, receivables, and inventory within agreed timelines.
- Provide revenue analysis, trend reporting, and variance explanations to management.
- Review the monthly GL
- Ensure completeness and accuracy of reported figures.
- Management of receivables (billing and settlements)
- Ensure monthly accounts receivable reconciliations, ageing analyses, and impairment calculations.
- Management of other external parties (Regulator, local and international partners)
- Preparation of required audit files (Journals and other supports)
- Assist with internal (quarterly assessments, stock counts) and external Audit
- Inventory management (Valuation, Stock-on-hand Vs Systems, Unit costs Vs Unit prices etc.)
- Support Revenue assurance (systems alignments to prevent revenue leakages, voucher management etc)
- Assist with ad hoc projects and roles within the department

Qualifications and Experience:
- Masters degree in Accounting or Finance ; ACCA, CIMA ,BICA or Equivalent. Practical exposure to Financial accounting advantageous
- 3 years of experience financial roles.
