What checks should I perform before going abroad?

• Check that your mobile phone is compatible with the network of the country you are visiting (2G/3G/4G/5G)

 

• Check that your phone numbers have the international prefix [+267 for the Botswana and +00 for the visited country]

 

• To be able to surf the web, check the mobile data settings of your mobile phone that travel data has been activated

 

• Check that roaming has been activated on your account :
  • For Prepaid dial *141*1# to activate roaming.
  • For Postpaid, customer has to contact 123 to check if roaming is activated on their account. If not available they have to write a letter submitted through the mail or at any Orange Shop authorising for roaming and credit limit to be set on their account.

• To be able to properly manage your budget, download the free Orange Yame app.
• Only Prepaid roaming can be activated using Orange Yame.
