What are the requirements for SIM registration?

Everyone with an Orange Botswana number must be identified in our systems when purchasing an Orange SIM card.

Under the law of 16 December 2016, you are required to identify yourself when buying a new prepaid SIM card by producing a valid identity document.

You will not be able to use the SIM card until you have proved your identity. You will therefore not be able to make or receive calls, send or receive e-mails, or access data.

Note: without any action being taken by you, Orange will suspend the line within 14 days and then cancel the line after 30 days.
