How do I configure my mobile to receive MMS messages?

The MMS APN enables you to send and receive MMS messages to/from your mobile.

Sold in its original box, your Orange mobile’s SMS profile is pre-set by default.

In the event of any problems, you can create a new profile and check that MMS messages are being properly sent and received:

  1. Go to "Settings".
  2. Select "Mobile networks"
  3. Click on "Access Point Names".
  4. Create a new APN with the following MMS settings:
    • Name: Orange MMS
    • APN: mms.orange.co.bw
    • User name: Not set
    • Password: Not set
    • MMSC: http://10.0.0.242/servlets/mms
    • MMS proxy: 10.0.0.226
    • MMS port: 8080
    • MCC: 652
    • MNC: 02
    • APN type: mms
    • Roaming APN protocol: IPv4
  5. Once you have entered the settings, save your new MMS profile.

Your mobile is now ready to send and receive MMS messages.

Note: Depending on the brand and model of your mobile, the steps you must take may differ. It is also possible that you may be unable to add a new APN.
