- What is Livebox mySelfCare and what is used for?
Livebox mySelfCare is an online facility that allows you to do the following:
- Have a clear view of your usage allowance available for the current month
- View Your personal contract details(update are done a new contract)
Download the welcome pack ( pdf format 3.55 MB) - View a report of past online sessions
- View billing history, including all of you invoices
- Change your mySelfCare password
- Add and track a trouble ticket for technical support
- How can I access Livebox mySelfCare?
To get to the LiveBox mySelfCare:
- Navigate to the Orange Botswana website
- Click on the internet link at the top left of the page
- Click on LiveBox Subscriber SelfCare at the top right of the page
- If a security alert pops up ignore it and click on Continue to this website to proceed to the page. (this problem will soon be fixed)
- A login prompt will appear. Enter your Username and Password.If you do not know, or have forgotten your Username and/or Password, please contact us at 123 from your Orange cell phone or 3163036 from any phone line, or send an email to technicalsupport@orange.co.bw
- Can I connect and surf wirelessly if my computer is not wireless-enabled ?
You can connect and surf wirelessly with Livebox using the supplied WiFi USB dongle that comes with the Livebox wireless modem.
- What do I need to get wireless?
You need a computer with Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista or Apple Mac OS X, a CD-Rom drive and an Ethernet port or a WiFi card. If you haven't got a wirelessenabled computer, we will give you a wireless adaptor which works via a USB port.
- How do I know if my computer is wireless-enabled?
To check if your computer is wireless-enabled go to Start, then Control Panel and double click on Network Connections. If your computer is wireless enabled you'll see available wireless connections in your area.
- Will any wireless adaptor work?
The Livebox works with all adaptors that carry the Wi-Fi industry standard mark.
- Does the Livebox work with Apple Macs?
Yes, but you will need to use a Mac compatible Wi-Fi card/device such as the airport that exists on MacBook.
Internet Everywhere
- What is internet everywhere?
Internet Everywhere is a service that allows you to access internet anywhere on the Orange network using a USB modem via GSM, PSTN, LAN or Private Wi-Fi
- How do I subscribe to the service?
Visit the nearest Orange shop and request an application form from any Orange sales representative.
- Is there any connection fee?
No connection fee
- Do I have to sign a contract?
This applies only for post-paid service.
- Where is the service available?
Available in all Orange EDGE/GPRS coverage area
- What data transfer speeds can be achieved?
Orange EDGE: max. speeds up to 236 kbps download
Orange GPRS: max. speeds up to 53.6 kbps download and 26.8 kbps uplink
- What is a data bundle?
It's a package of data in Mega Bytes
- Can I access the service while roaming?
Yes, the service is available with any Orange roaming countries.
- What is the validity of the allocated bundle?
The allocated bundle is only valid for 30 days.
- Is there bundle rollover to the next month?
No, there is no rollover of megabytes. The allocated bundle is valid for 30 days only
- How much data will a megabyte cover?
- Approximately: 50 average web pages
- 3500 emails (text only)
- a 2 minute MP3 file
- a 25 pages Word document
- What is the minimum technical requirement for my laptop or pc to be installed with internet everywhere?
In order to run the USB modem, your laptop / pc should meet the following technical requirements:-
- Minimum Pentium III of processor
- RAM of 512 Mb and above while for vista 1GB
- At least 150Mb of hard disk drive
- What are the supported operating systems?
- Microsoft VISTA - 32 bits
- XP
- Windows 2000
- What Browsers can be used with internet everywhere?
- Internet explorer version 4 to 7,
- Mozilla Firefox, version 1 to 1.5 and
- Netscape Navigator versions 4, 6 & 7
