On Orange World you will find a wide range of useful information, news, sport, weather, cool ringtones and wallpapers to personalise your mobile phone. We also offer a comprehensive range of exciting entertainment content. So, whether you want to download music tracks, a ringtone or a game, or you just want to kill time browsing around, Orange World has it all.

Getting started

First of all, you need a compatible phone. Most EDGE/GPRS/3G+ mobile phones will be able to access the Orange world portal. If your handset is compatible, you must request, receive and accept the "Orange WAP GPRS settings". If you are not sure about the compatibility of your handset, please contact our Call centre on 123 for assistance. You can also visit your nearest Orange Shop where trained personnel can assist you.

We recommend that you refer to your handset manual for instructions on how to launch and use the internet browser software/client.

How does it work?

To access Orange World, simply launch your browser application and select home or enter the address portal.orange.co.bw. You can then surf for all available content as you would normally do on the web. The latest phones purchased from Orange will have Orange World preloaded. On these phones you can simply click on the Orange World icon in the main menu.

So what can you do on Orange World?

Games - play the latest games on your mobile phone
Celebrity gossip - all the latest from the world of glitz and glam.
Movie line-up - find out what's on at Game City and Riverwalk cinemas
Music charts - know what's sizzling on the local and international charts
Horoscope - get your daily horoscope about your life, love and more
Jokes - laugh your lungs out and share the latest jokes with family and friends
Quotes - "To be or not to be..." impress your friends with quotes straight from the famous
Videos - download the latest video clips straight to your phone

Note: Compatibility of some content may depend on the mobile phone you have.

What does it cost?

The service is charged based on data use measured in megabytes (MB). You are only charged for actual downloaded data whilst viewing web pages or content, not for the time that you spend on the internet.

Both Postpaid and Prepaid customers can access Orange World on a pay as you use basis. This will give a customer free access to a large portion of the news and infotainment content.

Premium content download categories charges are as below:

Terms and Conditions

You pay for data used or downloaded including files or content that is not completely downloaded via Internet Access. This could be due an error or network outage.
If you are on prepaid and out of calling credit you will not be able to access Orange World. You will be blocked (just like most other services). After recharging with airtime you will have access again.
Orange will charge an amount per download and will not charge for the KBs/data size of the download.
You will be event charged for content downloading. Browsing the Orange World portal is free of charge.
You do not pay for the time you are online in Orange World
If there is network outage during a download attempt customers can retry to download the content within 15 minutes and there will be no additional charge.
